Event Details

Come enjoy 6 rare dark beers, including the single-batch 15% ABV Goose Island Baudoinia, which is a tiny amount of their Bourbon County Stout aged in special fungus-infected barrels (yum!), and the one-off 15th Anniversary Barrel Aged Old Rasputin Imperial Stout!

Enjoy these and more from Founders, Jolly Pumpkin, Revolution, and Ballast Point at Jerry's Andersonville for a good cause: all profits and tips will be donated to help their bartender, Shay, pay for brain surgery to remove a "black mass" found in his brain. Shay's a dark beer and black metal fan, so join us for dark movies, dark metal, and some incredible dark beers next Monday!

Event Details:

Drink Extremely Rare Dark Beers for Charity at Jerry's - Andersonville on Monday, August 5 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM!

This event is free to attend, pay as you eat/drink. There will also be a silent auction for rare beer items throughout the night!

They'll be serving some world-class beers, including two extremely rare barrel aged imperial stouts!

North Coast Old Rasputin XV Anniversary Barrel Aged Stout

Imperial Stout - 11.9% 38 IBUs
Every year we age a special batch of our much-loved Russian Imperial Stout in Bourbon barrels for 9 months. The depth, intensity, and complexity of the flavor profile of this special release, like its predecessors, make it a worthy tribute to Old Rasputin.

Goose Island Baudoinia

Imperial Stout - 15%
Baudoinia is a collaboration between Brewmaster Brett Porter and John Laffler. Baudoinia is the name of a fungus that grows on barrels stored low to the ground in distillery rickhouses. Given these barrels' uniqueness, they have aged Goose Island's Bourbon County Brand Stout solely in these Baudoinia covered barrels for a unique version of the Bourbon County Stout.

Madrugada Obscura Dark Dawn

Imperial Stout - 8.1%
A Belgian inspired stout that is as dark as a moonless midnight, brimming of roasted malts and bitter hops. It will keep you good company in all places, be they light or dark.

Victory at Sea Coffee Vanilla Imperial Porter

Porter - 10%
Two of the world's oldest beverages join forces to conquer your palate. Victory at Sea embodies the art of masterful brewing by infusing a velvety Imperial Porter with pure vanilla flavor and specially-selected, hand roasted coffee from Caffe Calabria . The addition of cold brewed coffee to the beer lends a subtle roasted flavor to this robust imperial porter, blending perfectly with rich vanilla and caramel undertones.

Coffee Eugene Porter

Porter - 7%
Our robust porter was sent to the bright tank and aged with whole bean coffee. We used the Dark Matter 'Revolution blend'. The cold aging allows us to extract the aromatic oils from the coffee w/o extracting any additional bitterness. An assortment of Belgian specialty malts form a complex structure of toasted grain and caramel flavors. Dark chocolate malt makes this porter black as night and infuses it with its distinct intense, chocolate essence.

Founders Imperial Stout

Imperial Stout - 10.5% 90 IBUs
Brewed with ten varieties of malted barley, this stout is smooth as silk, yet complex and rich in body. Serve this guy at cellar temperature. Put another log on the fire, sit back, and enjoy the friendship of this ultimate winter warmer.

Drink some of the greatest and most rare dark beers in the country, all while helping Shay!

Cheers,

Rich & Tim
