In your notebook, you will exercise writing every day, spend specified hours working on given assignments, learn to write in ANY environment, eat divine food and learn how to recognize flavors and ingredients based solely on your emotional reaction to your bite, sipping authentic cocktails (not only to open up the well of inspiration but to gain an understanding of your awareness), and be challenged to expand your vocabulary, social influence, speaking in public, and refining your skills.

This is not just a Writing Workshop. (Remember? I mentioned that already …)

I have carefully planned out the HOW. WHERE. WHEN. I will teach you the WHY.

I started this Workshop because the one thing every writer needs is the ability to describe everything around them, at any time, regardless of how loud it is, how many people are around you, taking in every sight, every sound, every taste, every touch, every smell. THIS is how you become a phenomenal writer.

I was never a writer that sat in a quiet room and imagined a world. I lived life. I have taken in every moment, traveled the world, had conversations with strangers, learned how to describe every moment, every sense, every second I was experiencing. It is something I can teach you. It is something I have taught many artists, regardless of the field. While I have spent the last 17 years writing publicly from socio-political, screenplays, copy, to Food, Art, Wine, and Leisure writing - I have become a better writer by having to tap into every single sense. And so, I created this Workshop to allow you to tap into that part of yourself.

THAT is Drink. Eat. Write. Not your average Writing Workshop. It will make you a better storyteller. It will give you the tools to make everything stand out – whether you are writing copy or creating a blockbuster, selling and marketing a brand or brushing up on rusty inspiration. THIS will give you freedom to write everything you’ve trapped inside. And that is just Day 1!!!

Be prepared to drink amazing cocktails, partake of exquisite food, submerse yourself in the art of film, in the lure of art, surround yourself in world around you, listen to incredible music, learn that writers can be social – all the while learning the crucial elements of observation. A key component to EVERY good piece of written word.

You will get a PACKET. Your packet will be just for you.

When it’s all over: Well, you will be equipped to write anything. Yes – anything.

You will have the tools. And I don’t mean Craftsman.

YOU will be the tool.

As a thank you, you also get a SWAG BAG. (Don’t get ahead of yourself, Harry Winston isn’t donating.)

ATOD Magazine's Motto: LIFE IS SEXY. Live it well.

Touch | Taste | Sight | Sound | Living Passionately

The Magazine is about everything good in life. Living every moment, awakening every one of your senses, never missing an opportunity to tap into your passions. Our goal: to find the sexy in everything ... Life is far too beautiful not to.

HOW IT STARTED - in Editor, Dawn Garcia's words

"In childhood, we grow up eating a plethora of things. Food becomes a means to getting the "ok" to play or run free with friends or the remedy for not "growing fast enough". Eating out when we were kids was an absolute TREAT! We would get so excited if we knew we were going to a restaurant. Something about knowing we could order whatever we wanted seemed like Christmas come early.

As we get older, "Eating Out" takes on an entirely different meaning. Food becomes our escape, a memory made or shared with friends and people we love, it becomes the catalyst in an important business meeting, or even the excuse we need to have a little abandon. However I believe there is still a kid within us all. The little voice that sees a menu and secretly gets excited that the possibilities are endless and our saving grace is, we actually know what's good. Eating out is simply life's way of presenting us with yet another reason to engage our senses.

Much like the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland, food really is taking us on an extraordinary adventure. "A Taste of Dawn" began because I sat down to write the story of a dinner I had. The smells, the sounds, the feeling I got when the food hit my lips and my taste buds were aroused; the entire process was worth interpreting. I realized then that story has always played a rather significant role in my dining experiences. In essence, eating out has become the catalyst behind many endearing adventures.

As a natural consequence, my love of art, photography, film, philanthropy, and travel becaome at the forefront of this adventure. No longer is the focus just on food and wine, it has transformed to also be about Lifestyle as a whole.

ATOD Magazine is simply my invitation to you to pick up that little piece of "Wondrous" thing in life and take a bite. See what happens. See what adventure awaits your imagination... And then - play.

Every person, at some point in our lives is an unknown but their gift can be so exquisite it can open up our eyes to an entirely new kind of living. ATOD Magazine is precisely that.

Here is to SAVORING LIFE in every possible way!"
