On Saturday, December 8, join us in Baltimore for Maryland’s first-ever statewide conference on fracking (10am - 4pm).

Hundreds of Marylanders -- activists, legislators, and fracking experts -- will come together for an inspiring, informative, and action-oriented day.

Fracking is a dangerous natural gas extraction process linked to drinking water contamination, climate pollution and even earthquakes in neighboring states. The gas industry is pursuing permits to drill here in Maryland, yet we lack any laws to protect our communities from the risks. 2013 is the year we’ll work together to change that, and you’ll learn how on December 8.

At the conference, you’ll get the facts on the dangers of fracking. You’ll meet inspiring activists on the front lines of the drilling threat in PA, NY and Western Maryland. You’ll rub elbows with Maryland legislators taking the lead on addressing fracking in our General Assembly. And, you’ll leave energized to join the fight in Maryland to win strong protections for our water, our health, and our climate.

Pre-registration at the reduced rate closes at 11:55pm on Friday, Dec 7th.

Walk-in registration is available on Saturday, Dec 8th for $20, or $15 for students.

Directions for walk-in registration:

  • Registration begins at 9am in the University of Baltimore's Langsdale Auditorium. The building address is 1420 Maryland Ave, but conference attendees should use the W. Oliver St. entrance to reach the auditorium.
