What is your role as a young leader? How will your actions connect to the legacy of activism that has been present since the Civil Rights Era of Dr. King?
Come participate in the interactive discussion, performances, and action.
*** Read Dr. Martin Luther King' Jr.'s "Letter from a Birmingham Jail" as part of the ART SANCTUARY "Read with Me: The MLK Project"and submit your videos, poems, and artwork to be displayed before January 18th.
*** Collect books and school supplies for elementary school students and bring them with you to the event. Books are being requested by the Richard Wright School in order to fill their empty library. Books can also be dropped off at the Widner Branch of the Philadelphia Free Library until Monday, January 21st.
Need Community Service Hours for School?
Certificates of participation will be presented to each registered student along with letters for schools requesting proof of community service.
