Seshemet Community Council in collaboration with Sankofa Community Empowerment Inc

Seshemet Community Council (SCC) is unique because our services focus on the key issues that plague the Black community. Each service is tailored to effectively solve each issue. Our Rites of Passage program is designed to develop both boys and girls. A community and a nation is made up of both men and women therefore we need our boys to become great men, and our girls to become great women.

Our Economic Development service is designed to deal with two of the Black communities economic challenges: lack of quality business ownership and unemployment.

Our Political Involvement service is designed to lead members of the Black community to become politically informed, and politically active to bring about changes in the community.

Our study group/lecture series is designed to keep community members informed and knowledgeable about the conditions that plagued them, and how they can overcome those challenges.
