Dr Pepper Snapple "Get Outdoors Day" at Santa Fe Trestle Trail
Friday, October 26, 2012 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Welcome! Dr Pepper Snapple Group (DPS) has joined forces with the Student Conservation Association (SCA)--the nation's largest non-advocacy environmental organization dedicated to developing tomorrow's conservation leaders--to conduct employee conservation service projects throughout 2012. Together, we will restore parks, trails, and other natural resources in communities where DPS employees live and operate.
Come out and join your colleagues for a day of service at the Santa Fe Trestle Trail, part of the beautiful 6,000-acre Great Trinity Forest. The trail begins at Eighth Street, taking hikers across the floodway past seasonal wetlands, stands of trees, far reaching vistas of the floodway, and glimpses of birds that live or migrate through the area. We will be working on planting love grass and conducting general clean up and trash removal.
Training, tools, materials, beverages, healthy snacks and a light dinner will be provided. Volunteers should wear long pants and sturdy, closed-toe shoes; bring sunscreen and a hat. A volunteer t-shirt and water bottle will be provided upon arrival the day of the event. Parking is available at the DART overflow parking lot.
Register today! Friends and family are welcome.
