Dear alumni and friends,
Please join us in celebrating Dr. Norm Moline's retirement from Augustana College. Norm retired this past May after 45 years of teaching at Augustana. To honor his legacy, we will host a celebration on Saturday, November 23 after Norm returns from his final East Asia term.
Schedule of events:
10:30 a.m. - Coffee and refreshments in John Deere Lecture Hall
11:00 a.m. - Norm's "last lecture" highlighting his 45 year career (John Deere Lecture Hall)
12:30 p.m. - Lunch at the wilson Center (buffet with Whitey's ice cream)
2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Field Trip through the Quad Cities (by bus)
Norm and his family are so grateful for your long-term personal and departmental friendship that they are covering the costs of lunch. He simply will be honored by your presence.
We look forward to seeing some new and familiar faces at this event. In addition to celebrating Norm's Augustana legacy, we invite you to meet the newer members of the department and to share your experiences with us.

When & Where
Augustana College is a private, selective liberal arts college located on a 115-acre campus near the Mississippi River in Rock Island, Illinois. Visitors rave about the beautiful wooded campus, with its rolling, river valley landscape and winding pathways along the slough. It truly is an oasis within the city.
Our focus on creating a well-rounded experience for our students has generated an environment of learning that goes way beyond the classroom. From the moment students set foot on campus, we provide them with the tools that will help them be successful here at Augustana and beyond. In addition to working closely with their professors on special projects and research, students will benefit from visiting scholars and lecturers as well as international study opportunities.
The Augustana community offers our students opportunities to be more than scholars, through hundreds of student interest groups and activities, tools and resources to discover their paths in life, and outstanding NCAA Division III athletic programs. In fact, Augustana ranks fifth among all colleges and universities for total number of Academic All-Americans. This environment that cultivates successful students also extends beyond our campus through community programming as well as special networking and social opportunities for our alumni.
