Dear Diners and Culinary Adventurers,
The Stags invite you back to a very special dining and sporting experience at the Pacific Rod & Gun Club. This vine and field to table event will highlight seasonal ingredients from the Bay Area. In addition to this sportsman’s-inspired meal, you will have the opportunity to shoot a round of skeet with shotguns guided by experts who are trained in firearm safety. For novice shooters, this will be a great introduction to the sport and a chance to rediscover a magical place that is integral to San Francisco’s sportsman heritage. This picturesque setting has hosted generations of sportsmen such as Ernest Hemingway, who would drop in for a round whenever he came to San Francisco. We are thrilled to bring back our most popular destination for a lovely Sunday outing on September the 8th.
Joining us will be our friend and independent winemaker, Ted Wilson of Wilson & Wilson Wine. Ted started his career in the Finger Lakes of Upstate NY. His lifelong dream of applying his knowledge was realized with the launch of Wilson & Wilson; a family endeavor, driven by
a shared family passion to celebrate great wine, great food and the growth of a community of friends. We are also pleased to host Dusky Goose who will be serving some of their delicious and rare Dundee Hills single vineyard pinots. Lastly, we are thrilled to feature a beautiful Sauvignon Blanc from our friends at Muller Family Vineyards. The 2012 Stars and Goats NV is the product of this charming doctor & nurse duo.
Enjoy carved prosciutto, cheeses, and fruits while having the chance to shoot a round of skeet.
Club House Social
After the guns are checked and safely stored away, you can enjoy a cold draft after your round of shooting and learn about the history of the Pacific Rod & Gun Club.
The Main Event: Winemakers Feast
Chefs Jordan Grosser and Ted Fleury have developed a sportsman's-inspired meal for your enjoyment. Dinner will be served with some individual and family-style courses.
Indian Summer Gazpacho, sea plants, sea urchin
Fromage de tète, blueberries, bay leaf, watercress
Stuffed Chicken Wings, Truffle- Wine Sauce
Salt Baked Sunchokes, Chanterelles, Corn, Tarragon
Caramelized cauliflower, capers and grapes, puffed wild rice

Dinner includes: Charcuterie reception, a mini-round of Skeet (5 shots), 8-dish family-style feast, and 5 complementing wines.
All guests must be 21+
Reception will be outdoors and meals indoors.
Shooting is optional and course rules will be sent to you prior to the event.
