On September 20th 2014 we are celebrating what would have been the 30th birthday of Stephanie Barrios which also happens to be two months shy of her one year death anniversary due to a tragic domestic violence act.
Our party with a purpose is to celebrate and honor those lost to domestic violence as well as raise awareness of domestic violence in our community. Our goal is to raise funds for The Woodbridge DVRT non-profit organization which helps victims with any needs necessary to get out of an abusive and battering relationship.
On September 20th you can expect music, food and basket raffling to take place anyone can simply join us to party with a purpose for Stephanie Barrios and other current victims of today by purchasing a ticket and making a difference.
When & Where
Losing a sister by the hands of another person is the hardest thing I have ever faced today. I will not allow this act to bring our family down. My reason for hosting such an event is to break the silence of domestic violence and speak out for those unheard voices. I choose to find the positive in a negative situation and help other victims which would have been my sisters wishes.
