The Hoboken Public Library celebrates Women's History with Don't Call Me Inspirational: a literary reading featuring Harilyn Rousso, Jennifer Bartlett and Ona Gritz.
Artist, writer and disabilityactivist Harilyn Rousso will read from her newly released memoir, Don't Call Me Inspirational: A Disabled Feminist Talks Back which Gloria Steinem called "…irresistible to read, honest, insightful and universal."
Joining Harilyn will be poets Jennifer Barlett, and Ona Gritz. Jennifer is the editor of the Beauty Is a Verb: The New Poetry of Disability, a 2012 ALA Notable Poetry Book called by Publisher's Weekly, "Usual and powerful" in a starred review. Ona is the author of the poetry book Left Standing, a columnist on disability and mothering for the online journal, Literary Mama, and a contributor to Beauty is a Verb.
