Jim brings more than 25 years of experience as a practicing corporate and securities law attorney, and is also a certified public accountant (inactive status).
Lauri Floresca is a Partner and Senior Vice President with Woodruff Sawyer & Co. Lauri has a background in underwriting executive liability products and more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance brokerage and risk management industry. Lauri has the technical experience to identify and solve complex insurance problems. She is a widely respected expert for her knowledge in the areas of directors & officers liability and cyber liability. Lauri has extensive experience placing D&O programs for public companies of all sizes, including a number of NASDAQ 100 and Fortune 500 companies. As Cyber Liability exposures became paramount for her clients, Lauri expanded her practice area to focus on this complex and evolving area of coverage. She has developed innovative Cyber Liability solutions for companies providing cloud-based services to customers, and has experience working through complex privacy breach claims.
Kevin McDonald is President of the Noloki Healthcare IT & Compliance division & EVP, at Alvaka Networks. Kevin is highly trusted technology and security consultant and public policy advisor to some of America’s most influential people and organizations. Kevin serves as a senior advisor to executives, businesses, state and federal legislators, law enforcement leaders, and for profit and charitable boards among others. Kivin consults on the issues surrounding advanced technology, personal, physical and logical security, regulatory compliance, organizational development and more.
Marc J. Schneider is a business and securities litigation shareholder at Stradling. He also serves as Stradling’s General Counsel. In addition to litigating all sorts of complex business disputes, Mr. Schneider regularly handles, and advises corporate boards and management regarding, shareholder class actions, derivative suits, merger and acquisition litigation, government investigations, internal investigations, and compliance issues. Mr. Schneider has advised companies and defended them against litigation and government investigations relating to significant data breach events.
Derrick Brent is Vice-President and Associate General Counsel for Masimo Corporation, a medical technology company where he provides counsel and handles legal matters relating to intellectual property, employment, compliance and public policy. Prior to joining Masimo, Derrick served in the federal government in Washington D.C. for 12 years. From 2001-06, he was a Senior Trial Attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice, and from 2006-12, he served as Senior Counsel to Sen. Barbara Boxer of California. Derrick has also worked as a litigator in private practice with firms in Chicago and Columbus, Ohio, and served as a law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio for the Hon. Algenon L. Marbley. Derrick is a graduate of The Ohio State University, with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and Northwestern University School of Law.
