Welcome! Domtar has joined forces with the Student Conservation Association (SCA)--an organization dedicated to developing tomorrow's conservation leaders--to conduct community service projects throughout 2012. Together, we will restore parks, trails, and other natural resources in locations where Domtar employees live and work.
Come out and join your colleagues and the EarthChoice Ambassadors for a volunteer activity at Andrew Jackson State Park. Volunteers will work on refurbishing the "Garden of the Waxhaws" Trail. Projects include building and installing a trailhead kiosk, cutting out fishing areas around the lake, and putting in steps on steep banks on the west side of the lake.
Training, tools, materials, beverages, healthy snacks and lunch will be provided. Volunteers should wear long pants and sturdy, closed-toe shoes; bring sunscreen and a hat.
Sign up today! Family is welcome, including children of all ages. An event t-shirt and resuable water bottle will be provided.
