Event Details

Utah Valley University’s Woodbury School of Business will bring together international experts and the business community for a one-day conference developed to provide an educational and networking resource for those interested in conducting business in the Asian Pacific.

The conference will cover a wide variety of international topics related to doing business with China. Participants will also have the opportunity to interact and network with leading experts, business executives, non-profit organizations and international trade enterprises including experts from World Trade Center Utah and the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. Thought leaders will also host break out sessions and discuss best practices.

Featured presenters:

James McGregor is one of the foremost experts on business in China. McGregor provides strategic advice to top political leaders and Fortune 500 CEOs and serves as an insightful and influential China commentator for television, radio and print media across the globe.

Manny Menendez has more than thirty years of experience in constructing joint ventures and other business opportunities with the Chinese and consulting for companies wanting to enter the China market. In addition to a thorough understanding of the culture, values, negotiating tactics, and business customs in China, Menendez will present his “8 Golden Rules for Doing Business in China.”

Christopher Quinlivan is a Foreign Service Officer with the Department of Commerce’s U.S. Commercial Service. He is currently Commercial Counselor and Deputy Senior Commercial Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. Quinlivan serves as deputy to the Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs, overseeing the U.S. Department of Commerce’s activities throughout China.
