Organic food is healthy, environment friendly and trendy – but how does organic production impact and relate to global food security or the livelihoods and income of smallholders in developing countries? Do we understand enough about the contribution of organic farming in addressing some of the most critical global challenges we are facing?
The event is hosted by Helvetas at its exhibition – "We eat the World". You will have the opportunity to explore the exhibition individually or with a guide before the input session with Frank Eyhorn, Co-Team Leader Rural Economy, Organic & Fairtrade Competence Center of Helvetas. He is an expert on organic agriculture, fair trade, value chains, market development, certification and internal control systems, sustainable livelihoods. The kick off talk will be followed by informal Q&A session and a buzzing networking apero.
To get more into the topic, you can read Sustainable Agriculture for a Sustainable Planet – an article by Frank Eyhorn and Heiko Specking.

When & Where
We organise events and activities that create and develop a local community of informed, motivated professionals from the private, public and civil sector.
GreenBuzz is driven largely by volunteers that work on sustainability topics in their daily work. We are a non-profit association on the move and thankful for every helping hand (event organisation, accounting, project management, reporters, etc.).
