Event Details

Don’t miss this special premiere screening of the exciting PBS and National Geographic documentary film, BONES OF TURKANA. For over 40 years, renowned anthropologist Richard Leakey has scoured the badlands around Kenya’s Lake Turkana, searching for fossil clues that could finally reveal how we became human.  This new documentary features new music by Paul Simon and the Kenyan Boys’ Choir as it follows Leakey’s team across an austere African landscape to tell its story. Screening will be followed by a Q&A with award-winning producer/director John Heminway and producer Katie Carpenter.

John Heminway, explorer and filmmaker who has been documenting wild corners of our planet and astonishing audiences with his films.

Katie Carpenter, longtime producer and director of documentaries and television series about nature, travel, and the environment.
