Every day, Doctors Without Borders aid workers from around the world provide assistance to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe—treating those most in need regardless of political, religious, or economic interest. Whether an emergency involves armed conflicts or epidemics, malnutrition or natural disasters, Doctors Without Borders is committed to bringing quality medical care to people caught in crisis
As a physician working for MSF, you may be responding to an outbreak of cholera or meningitis, treating victims in the aftermath of an armed conflict, or setting up a treatment program for HIV/AIDS or malaria. The only certainty with an MSF mission is that your clinical skills and resourcefulness will be put to the test.
On WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 20, all physicians are invited to join us for a live teleconference and webinar to learn more about how you can join Doctors Without Borders’ pool of dedicated doctors.
Doctors Without Borders Field Human Resources Officer, Melissa Bieri, will give an overview of the organization and discuss requirements. Joining Melissa will be a New York-based physician and MSF aid worker, who will share stories and photos from their experiences working in the field with MSF. Participants will be able to ask questions about the recruitment process and life in the field.
The presentation will last 90 minutes, including Q&A.
This event is a LIVE teleconference and webinar.
You will call a toll-free number to hear the audio portion of the presentation over your phone (mobile or land line). The optional (but recommended) web component includes a PowerPoint slideshow and the opportunity to ask questions via live chat.
Registration is required and limited.
After you have registered you will receive an email confirmation that includes the phone number and password you'll need to join the teleconference and web component.
