(Decrease Obesity with Induced Training)

Program Description

Do it…Again is a weight loss program designed for Jackson State University students ONLY. The Walter Payton Recreation & Wellness Center has assembled a team of trainers, nutritional experts, speakers, and others to guide and motivate students to build a solid foundation for a healthy lifestyle.

Program Duration

  • 3 days per week for 8 weeks

  • Training Days: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday

The Walter Payton Recreation and Wellness Center

 

The Jackson State University’s Walter Payton Recreation and Wellness Center was opened in 2006 and has served as a hub of health, wellness and recreation for the campus and the community. The Walter Payton Center has a history of promoting a healthy campus and over the years has expanded healthy options to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the community at large. . There have been a variety of wellness initiatives aimed at both students and employees over the past few years including the UPHAT weight loss challenge, the Do It challenge, J-Walkers /Rec-Runners program, Annual Fight Against Obesity 5K and Fit Fest Week, and the monthly Wellness  seminars.
