When & Where
Sustainable 19125 & 19134
Sustainable 19125 & 19134 is a broad and innovative partnership among community residents, businesses, and numerous government, nonprofit, and for profit partners to green the Fishtown, Olde Richmond, and East Kensington neighborhoods of Philadelphia. Its goal is to make 19125 & 19134 the most sustainable zip codes in the city. This community-driven initiative is led by New Kensington Community Development Corporation (NKCDC), with support from the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS).
We have three broad initiatives:
The Big Green Block: building green infrastructure in the community.
Walk, Bike, Ride: a non-car focused transportation campaign.
Green Blocks: focusing on easy, resident-driven actions that make the neighborhood a healthier, greener place to live, work, and play.
