DIY Girls and the Marina Service Unit present a creative engineering workshop
This workshop introduces a girl to creative engineering! Our hands-on e-textiles workshop is an introduction to wearable electronics and sewing circuits. Each girl will learn to create basic electrical circuits using conductive thread and LEDs and will make her own creation using available fabric and other materials. This is an opportunity for girls to be creative while learning technical skills.
- All project materials will be provided - includes simple e-textiles kit from Acrobotic - 2 LEDs, coin battery, sewable battery holder and 2 ft of conductive thread
- Workshop designed for juniors and cadettes
- Event is limited to 75 girls. Leaders must adhere to the proper girl/adult ratio
- Registration at 8:30am
