1) The New Definition of Diversity - Tuesday February 19, 2013 at 1:00pm ET
The workshop series begins with helping professionals see diversity as it exists in today’s workplace where employees already have the basics of diversity and executives still need to “buy in.” We will explore how to define diversity as it relates to the specific needs of your organization, how that definition will make diversity a capital asset executives can “buy in” to, and how cultural competence is the new direction of diversity training.
2) Using New Media to Recruit Diverse Candidates - Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 1:00pm ET
Part II of the series focuses specifically on using new media to recruit diverse candidates. We will highlight the benefits of building an interactive career website through a case study look at GE’s GECareers website. Additionally, participants will learn how to use tools available on Facebook, Twitter, Google, and LinkedIn that can specifically target desired candidates and provide recruiting results that exceed traditional career fair methods.
3) Programming to Cultivate Diverse Talent for Organizational Leadership Roles - Monday, February, 25 at 1:00pm ET
Clear pathways to leadership, mentors, non-traditional benefit options, and service opportunities are some of the top programming requested made by diverse candidates. In the final session, participants will receive the framework for facilitating leadership training, employee reviews, HR policies, and mentoring programming that specifically address the needs of diverse candidates and cultivate their talent for leadership within an organization.
