D2: Diversity & Dialogue is an annual event hosted by the Diversity Crew which focuses on current diversity-issues. The event always includes an expert on the chosen subject followed by attendee discussion. The 2013 D2 event is called Moving Beyond the Tulsa Race Riots.

Hannibal B. Johnson, author, attorney, consultant and bonafide Tulsa Race Riots expert is our keynote speaker. Johnson has written numerous books on diversity, many of which are specifically about the riots, Tulsa and Black Wall Street. For more information about the speaker, click here.

Event partners include Mosaic, the Tulsa Regional Chamber's diversity business council, and the John Hope Franklin Center for Reconciliation. The agenda includes a brief overview of the riots but is mainly focused on the next phases in our community. What are our next steps toward reconciliation?

What are the Tulsa Race Riots?
Perhaps you aren't fully aware of the 1921 Race Riots -- and that's ok. We have a variety of resources for you to brush up on your Greenwood District history. There's no time like the present for learning where we came from so we can figure out where to go.
