Ozone Action Days is a public awareness program that focuses on reducing ozone air pollution to improve local air quality for healthy communities. "Ditch the Keys" is an awareness-building campaign encouraging central Arkansas residents to protect air quality by using alternate modes of transportation and to reduce outdoor activities on high-ozone days.
On May 13-17, leave the keys at home and join us for Ditch the Keys Week to reduce ground-level ozone. Your body will thank you. Your lungs will thank you. The environment definitely will thank you.

On Friday, May 17, be part of national Ride your Bike to Work Day. Several bike convoys will be riding all over and enjoying central Arkansas before work. Join in and pedal with one of our many convoys and be part of this effort to promote cleaner air and a healthier community!
There will be a press conference at 7:30 a.m. at the Pulaski County Courthouse Rose Garden, located at the corner of Markahm St. and Broadway. All participants are invited to a delightful breakfast at the Capital Hotel.

Central Arkansas Transit Authority (CATA) "How to Ride" Clinic
Monday, May 13, 2013 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
CATA will hold a "How to Ride the Bus" Clinic at the River Market Pavillion for those interested. CATA staff and a bus will be available for questions and information.
Ride of Silence
Wednesday, May 15 at 7 p.m.
A Ride of Silence is held each year to honor those killed while bicyling. This year the ride will take place from 4800 W. 10th St. (new CALS Children's Library) to 12th Street and the Capitol.
“Ditch the Keys: Better Air, Better Bicycling,” a public forum

In conjunction with Bike to Work Day in Central Arkansas, the Clinton School will present a public forum focused on providing tips from biking experts on how to adapt to a biking-friendly lifestyle and a discussion of the future of bicycling in Central Arkansas. This event is part of Ozone Action Days, public awareness program that focuses on reducing ozone air pollution to improve local air quality for healthy communities.
