Disruptor Cup 2013 Demo Day
April 15th 7pm - 8:30pm
The Disruptor Foundation and Rain, in conjunction with the Disruptive Innovation Awards, Bond Strategy and Influence and the Municipal Art Society of New York have announced the kick-off of the 2013 Disruptor Cup - an annual, month-long hackathon during which the best and brightest NYC technies, designers, and community members converge to form ideas, build tools that solve problems, and compete to make our city better.
The first phase of the Disruptor Cup began Monday March 4th, and during this time participants have 30 days to work on their projects. Upon completion, participating teams submit their projects for review. The top teams are then selected to move on to the second phase of the hackathon: Disruptor Cup Demo Day.
On Demo Day – scheduled for April 15th – the teams behind the top projects submitted will pitch and demo their creations to a diverse audience of angel investors, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, city officials, and many others. The winning team will be selected by a panel of judges and awarded the 2013 Disruptor Cup.
