Dirty Turkey 15k
Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 10:00 AM (CST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
You just ate your body weight in turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie, not to mention the amount of beers you drank because it is the holidays, after all, and just like a Tuesday afternoon game at Wrigley, people can’t judge you for day drinking.
Chug some water before bed, shake the L-Tryptophan out of your legs, and hit the trails in order to (hopefully) forget your gorging on food and the credit card bill you ran up during Black Friday!
The Dirty Turkey 15k is a trail race on the beautiful trails of TBA. It’s the most legitimate excuse you’ll have to get away from your in-laws over the extended weekend. You’ll be dodging roots and rocks, jumping over downed trees, and navigating other natural obstacles that will make you happier than that dude in the Double Rainbow video.
All runners will receive: one free beer*, a Dirty Turkey hoodie, a Dirty Turkey race bib, free food and soft drinks following the race, and a unique finisher’s award.
The race will begin at 10am on Saturday, November 30, 2013.
A course map and waiver will be posted here at least one month before the race.
Price schedule is as follows:
$38 until September 30
$40 from October 1 to October 31
$45 from November 1 to race day
Get a team of 5 or more together and save!
This race will count towards the Popes of Avignon and Plenary Indulgence challenges (http://www.muddymonk.com/mmchallenge).
When & Where
We love people. We love Chicago. We love trail running. And we love good beer. We thought it would be a good idea to combine them all. Why not, right?
Our goal is to provide Chicagoland with the best possible trail running experience. From the course design to the staff at the aid stations to the beer served at the after party, our #1 goal is for you to have the best time possible.
We are partnering with local small businesses in the Chicagoland area to start a series of trail races beginning in the fall of 2012.
Hope to see you on the trail soon!
