Description
Dirty Dancing incorporates salsa, merengue, bachata, hip-hop and basic ballet. It begins with two warm-ups that focus on awakening the muscles and putting the dancer in touch with her body as an instrument. The class then proceeds towards the Latin, building on the basic salsa and merengue steps, and escalates to a pounding hip-hop. Throughout the class we focus on our powerhouse (the core) in order to find our balance and rhythm. The class ends with a basic bachata and arm strengthening routine and an emphasis on respirar: to breathe.
