Dinner with Faculty featuring Dr. Sharon Parks
Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (PST)
Your Alumni Council invites you to participate in a very special event on Thursday November 14.
Sharon Daloz Parks, professor, leader and educator, is going to lead us in intimate conversation at Marilyn Gist's lovely Mount Baker home.
The evening will feature dinner and discussion with the theme "Leadership at the Crossroads, on the Edge, and in the Gap." What does this mean, relative to our current commons and our organizations?
Most CLF alumni have had the remarkable honor and pleasure of learning from - and with - Dr. Parks in the Executive Leadership Program. Her insight and wisdom have the power to inspire, inform and engage in ways that stay with us long after the program is over. Please come rekindle that fire with fellow alumni and faculty, and with fine food and drink.
Date: Thursday, Nov. 14
Time: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Place: Marilyn Gist's home (directions to follow your RSVP)
Food: Dinner will be catered. We'll ask attendees to make a small contribution of beverage or dessert.
Dr. Parks is director of Leadership for the New Commons, an initiative of the Whidbey Institute. For more than sixteen years, she held faculty and research positions at Harvard University, including as a senior research fellow at the Harvard Business School and in the Leadership Education Project at the Kennedy School of Government. Among her publications: Leadership Can Be Taught: A Bold Approach for a Complex World; Big Questions, Worthy Dreams: Mentoring Young Adults in their Search for Meaning, Purpose, and Faith; and she is co-author of Common Fire: Leading Lives of Commitment in a Complex World. She speaks and consults nationally for a wide range of professional organizations and institutions.
We very much look forward to spending an evening with her - and with you - next month.
