Preceding the dinner, Evan will be speaking in WLH 114 from 4:30PM to 6:00PM. Students attending the dinner should plan to also join for the talk.
About Evan: Evan Ratliff is the co-founder and editor of Atavist, a media and software company that produces digital storytelling tools and an award-winning magazine and e-singles publishing arm, The Atavist. Having worked with publishers ranging from the Wall Street Journal to TED, this spring Atavist is launching a self-service version of its software for anyone to make books, apps, and digital magazines. Evan’s writing also appears in The New Yorker, National Geographic, and Wired, where he is a contributing editor. He is a three-time finalist for a National Magazine Award, twice as a writer and once as an editor. On the side, he is the story editor of Pop-Up Magazine, one of the country’s most successful live literary events, and the co-host of the Longform Podcast.
