Camino Collective: Author Dinner Party
DINNER PARTY at CAMINO with
THURSDAY, JUNE 26th
THE ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION
In early 2013 Paula Wolfert was diagnosed with an early stage of Alzheimer's Disease. Since then, she has decided put her prestigious culinary career on hold to devote herself to Alzheimer's activism, raising awareness about the disease in partnership with the Alzheimer's Association. Paula Wolfert is the author of eight cookbooks, all considered classics. Among them: Couscous and Other Good Food From Morocco, The Cooking of Southwest France, and five books on Mediterranean cuisine. She has won The Julia Child Award three times, The James Beard Award five times and The M.F.K. Fisher Award. Now dedicated to speaking out about Alzheimer's Disease, Paula urges people who suspect that they may have the disease to get tested, asserting her belief that "denial is not a viable option".
Join us in a evening celebrating the influential work of Paula Wolfert as a renowned chef and author, as well as a spokesperson for Alzheimer's Disease. Seven Bay Area chefs are collaborating on a meal inspired by Paula's many years of cooking, writing and teaching to help raise money for the Alzheimer's Association.
Watch Paula on PBS NEWSHOUR speak out about her
