“Dining With Distinction”
“Graduates coming out of school today are so competent that it is difficult to choose between applicants. We now take all of our applicants to lunch to evaluate their social skills. These are often the skills that make the difference and set an applicant apart.”
A Fortune 500 HR Director
“Eating is not an executive skill. . . But it is especially hard to imagine why anyone negotiating a rise to the top would consider it possible to skip mastering the very simple requirements. . .What else did they skip learning?” A Fortune 500 CEO
Empower yourself with the confidence to dine with anyone, anywhere. This two-hour program is an interactive, multi-disciplined approach to learning. Its purpose is to heighten student’s awareness that corporate dining is an integral part of the business world today. After all, major business deals are often signed at the table. As you negotiate your way to the top, you will not only be judged by your production record, but your confidence and poise at the dining table. Your table manners, dining skills, conversational aptitude, and your ability to handle others must be in peak working order. An employee who learns and refines these skills is considered "promotable" and is often asked to entertain for the company. Information is disseminated through awareness quiz, video and a teaching tutorial that enables the students to “outclass the competition".
Students will be challenged to adapt these skills. When we know a skill has value, we want to use it more. A skill used often becomes a habit. When these skills are a habit, they become part of who we are (Steven Covey’s Principle). People think of us as poised, confident and professional.
