DigitalBristol organises and facilitates free monthly networking events with stand-out speakers, attracting the best digital knowledge, expertise and businesses in the region.
This month's speaker is Award - winning comedy Producer and Director Alan Nixon, who is now CEO of The Comedy in Communication Company, (@ComedyinCom) and looks at how the digital age has impacted on the comedy world.
Alan worked as Executive Producer with Sky and Producer / Director with all the major television broadcasters. He was a Founding Director of Absolutely Productions ( etc) and a Consultant to, and amongst others. Alan has an Honours degree in English from Manchester University and also holds certificates in NLP, and two types of hypnosis and self-hypnosis. Despite which he still suffers agonies watching Man Utd play.
As a Commissioner Alan won ; the , and many Comedy Awards. As Producer, Alan also won (ITV), (TVS) and another (BBC). In 2006, Alan won a (CYMRU) as Producer/Director of the comedy documentary “A HISTORY OF WALES…” (HTV) with John Sparkes.
