Topic: Digital Terrain Modeling
This presentation will demonstrate Digital Terrain Modeling (DTM) as a powerful site analysis tool, which will assist with your design process. The presentation will allow attendees to:
• learn how to manage information a surveyor provides to create a site model
• discover how to build and analyze a terrain model for slope concerns like accessibility and erosion control
• examine how to use basic site modifiers to enable site design changes with in the terrain model
• learn how to create sections and understand how to adjust modifiers to balance a site’s proposed cut and fill
About the Presenter: Eric Gilbey, RLA, Landscape Industry Product Specialist at Nemetschek Vectorworks, Inc., utilizes his professional experience, including membership in the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD), and the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET), as well as CAD skills to assist in the development, marketing, and sales of the Vectorworks Landmark software. Eric's experience as a registered landscape architect and user of various CAD programs allows him to help landscape architects and designers develop best practices such as sustainable design.
