Important:   Please bring a fully charged device and power supply.   

  • Morning: 
    Digital Literacy and Citizenship with Common Sense Media
    This session is intended to familiarize participants with ways to incorporate social media into the classroom that will support college and career readiness in alignment with the Common Core State Standards. Participants will create a plan for doing so which also fulfills the CIPA compliance requirement. 
  • Afternoon: 
    Digital Literacy and Citizenship with EverFi (middle school)
    This session is intended to help participants understand how to navigate Everfi’s innovative learning platform. Ignition is a new-media learning platform designed to educate students on the risks and rewards that technology can bring to their lives. Participants will discuss the need for digital citizenship, review learning objectives, discover promising practices, and become familiar with how to use Ignition with their students.

She offers professional development designed to develop skills and provide resources for the adults who work with students so they can help them become responsible, safe, literate users of digital media who are prepared for academic, career, and social success.
