This is a one day workshop coordinated by Keith Simmons, co-designer of the Wireplant microcontroller kit. Hosted at the MIT Museum, this workshop leads participants through the basic electronics and practical skills needed to understand and assemble an Arduino-controlled moisture sensor which can notify you when your soil needs water.

No background in electronics or gardening are required, and the workshop is open to everyone older than fifteen. People younger than eighteen need to get parental consent. This workshop is happening on the eighth of May, and is capped at twelve participants, costing $55 for the whole workshop (which includes a materials fee). Participants will leave with an assembled, functioning kit. If you're interested, check out the workshop website. Be sure to bring a copy of your ticket/receipt to the workshop for admission to the Museum, and if you're under 18, please bring along your parent or your parental consent form.
