Saturday, 4:30pm- 7:30pm
April 14th
$65 non-members / $35 members

Embrace the digital age and set up film positives in Photoshop and print using an 42″ wide inkjet printer. In this workshop, you will learn how to prepare digital files for output on an inkjet printer and the basics about how to operate our Epson 9800 wide-format inkjet printer. Halftones, CMYK four-color separations, text and other basic image types will be covered.

What we provide:
Output for 1 film. (which will be available for pickup if not printed during class)
You will then get certification to use the printer in the future**

What you bring:
*If you do not have a laptop to bring: it’s okay, we’ll be projecting the lesson from a CS5 equipped computer.
**Output costs are $.75 per linear inch without the class, and $.50 per linear inch with certification.

Instructor Noah Breuer:

The Gowanus Studio Space

The Gowanus Studio Space encourages inter-disciplinary exchange and provides affordable access to facilities for artists and designers. Offering exhibition, curation and production opportunities, the studio is an incubator for new ideas and an inroad to today's insular art world.

The GSS' 60+ members rent low-cost studios and storage and have 24-hour access to a woodshop, print studio, metal shop and large common workspace. GSS was established with little funding in industrial Gowanus in 2007.
