Digital DUMBO: Spring Forward! Sponsored by NYI
Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM (EDT)
Brooklyn, United States
Remember that moment about a month and a half ago when you were making your way across the frozen tundra to another Digital DUMBO, thinking "If only I had Tiger Blood, I would be so much warmer." Well, that moment has arrived! Spring weather is here and now we are all suddenly feeling as if we are made of Tiger Blood and ready to be in the company of New York's finest digital thought leaders. And yes, even we are attempting to capitalize on Mr. Sheen! After all, he is hiring a social media intern.
Digital DUMBO, in conjunction with infrastructure provider NYI, is proud to present Spring Forward, an evening whose only agenda is having a good time. There will be themed cocktails and commemorative t-shirts brought to you by Brooklyn- based designer Kayrock Screenprinting.
If NYI sounds familiar, that's because you probably know them for providing colocation, dedicated servers, managed services and other infrastructure support to the likes of Meetup and RollingStone.com. NYI is also the company you see at the top of the charts whenever there's a list of the best hosting and data center providers.
In addition to one-of-a-kind t-shirts, all Digital DUMBO attendees will also be entered into a special raffle for the chance to win cool tech gifts from Digital DUMBO's own Etsy. As always, the sound system will be spinnin' your favorite tracks and there will be a free beer and wine bar!
For press inquiries and general information, please email Andrew Zarick (email@example.com) and Kaitlin Villanova (Kaitlin@digitaldumbo.com)

When & Where
Join us and our friends at TD Bank for a brief two part presentation exploring strategies to help businesses secure bridge loans and lines of credit, followed by advice on how to manage all that cash after you sell your company or cash out your stock. The presentations will be followed by audience Q/A, the opportunity to have private office hours with executives from TD Bank, and hang time with other entrepreneurs with beer, wine and music.
Data, connected devices, and wearables are quickly entering and influencing our daily lives. In our panel, Ready Set Rocket and Interbrand will explore the future of wearables and connected devices, and how thought leaders in the space are influencing the next big shift in culture and technology.
What do Cadillac, Hello Kitty, and the Greenbay Packers have in common? Well, not much other than that they all have mobile apps built on top of the Parse Cloud! Parse, acquired by Facebook in 2013, adds a scalable and powerful backend to mobile apps eliminating the need to worry about server maintenance. In this edition of dd:COLLECTIVE we'll not only talk about the nitty-gritty of app development but also explore strategies for leveraging the Facebook ad platform to grow user bases and take any app to the masses!
