Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (PDT)
San Francisco, CA
We are working with the
Slow Food Chapters locally and across the
nation, to reach out to our communities and get some work done! This
will be a single day event to gather together and volunteer with in each
The event at Sanchez School is one of the options for volunteering
with the Slow Food SF chapter.
PLEASE NOTE: Space is limited so please let us know if you cannot make it.
We will have compost and top soil delivered to start the new community garden area and to reinvigorate the garden area where Slow Food founder Carlo Petrini spent time with the students. Sanchez School Principal, Dr. Raymond Isola as well as other faculty members will be on site.
TTIRE: WHERE TO REPORT: We ask all volunteers to sign in upon arrival
- Closed-toe shoes are required at all volunteer projects. Anyone wearing sandals, flip-flops, or any other shoe with an open toe will not be able to participate in the project.
- We suggest dressing in layers, as the temperature in the Mission/ Noe Valley districts tends to go from hot to cool with very little lead time.
