Ken Schaefer, President of Schaefer Advertising Company

About Ken Schaefer:

As head honcho and namesake of Schaefer Advertising, Ken leads client relationships and manages the strategic planning and brand development for Schaefer’s clients. His 30 years of marketing experience began at Procter and Gamble, where he worked in sales and brand development for the firm’s paper products division.

Moving to the agency side of the business, Schaefer joined the Houston office of Ogilvy & Mather (O&M), where he helped managed the Shell Oil account.

In 1992, Fort Worth-based Justin Boot Company recruited Ken to be the director of marketing – helping lead the Justin brand to its current position as the world’s largest western boot manufacturer.

In 1995, Ken joined forces with Bobby and Jan Blanchard to create Blanchard Schaefer Advertising, a full-service, strategy-first advertising agency. Since its inception, Blanchard Schaefer Advertising (rebranded as Schaefer Advertising Co. in March of 2011) has developed a roster of local and national accounts across a broad range of verticals including healthcare, food service, technology and transportation/logistics. Ken earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Stephen F. Austin University. His wife, Lori, has been putting up with him for over 19 years and they have twin 16-year-old sons, Sam and Campbell. Ken is actively involved in the Fort Worth community, his church and his sons’ million-and-one sports activities.
