Dewey the Dog & Friends

Merrimack SPCA at the Dewey Scavenger Hunt Challenge! Get moving with your dog as you enjoy interactive canine sport demonstrations in canine freestyle dancing, nose work, and flyball. Play games including “Bobbing for Tennis Balls,” “Biscuit Toss,” “Dog Toy Challenge” and more in our leash-free fun areas! See demonstrations by New England K9 Search & Rescue and Green Gems Herbals. Shop for gifts at the Dewy Emporium. Bring a photo of your companion animals to win a prize in the Dewey Photo Contest, including, “Celebrity Look Alike,” “The Odd Couple,” and “All Creatures Great and Small (our family loves them all!)” categories. Enjoy the fields and walking trails across the 600 acres of the Village. Donation bin to benefit local shelters. Outdoor grill lunch available in addition to regular restaurant hours.

Canterbury Shaker Village
Canterbury Shaker Village, Inc., is an internationally-known non-profit museum dedicated to preserving the 200-year legacy of the Canterbury Shakers and to providing a place for learning, reflection, and renewal of the human spirit.
Designated as a National Historic Landmark for its architectural integrity and significance, the Village has 25 restored original Shaker buildings, 4 reconstructed Shaker buildings, and 694 acres of forests, fields, gardens, nature trails, and mill ponds under permanent conservation easement.
Canterbury Shaker Village offers visitors a variety of engaging experiences in one of the most picturesque settings in northern New England.
