Power up and make connections

Come network with us. Smart networking takes practice, but with a solid strategy, it's easy to master. Learn to establish and nurture relationships that work for you, personally and professionally.

It all starts at 5:30 pm with registration at 5:00 pm.


Networking Workshop:
Learn how to deepen and nurture relationships, develop a networking strategy and master the art of introductions and follow-through.

Networking Activity:
Begin building your network immediately by connecting with other attendees, alumni, faculty and staff members.

 Workshop Facilitator:

Anita White, MSM - Assistant Director of Administrative Services and Campus Leasing Representative – Oakland University and University of Phoenix Faculty Member

Anita White is the Assistant Director of Administrative Services and Campus Leasing Representative for Oakland University for an average of 10,000 individuals. With over 25 years of experience in business, Ms. White provides leadership within the field of higher education. Her professional experience includes managing and marketing in law, aviation, professional sports, hospitality, and higher education. She is also a mentor and board member for a local, non-profit, small business owner, and committee member for several local and national organizations as well as a volunteer.

Keynote Address:

Renée T. Walker, APR

Renée T. Walker is president of RENEE WALKER & ASSOCIATES LLC, a strategy and communications consultancy firm that assists growth-stage startups to global organizations with harnessing their brand power, optimizing their competitive positioning and driving their business growth. She is the author of Brand Power for Small Business Entrepreneurs: Breakout Brand, Positioning, and Profit Strategies to Drive Revenue Growth.
