Despite Lupus: How to Live Well with a Chronic Illness

Author Sara Gorman, will share tips and insight into living with lupus from her book Despite Lupus: How to Live Well with a Chronic Illness. The Alexandria resident wrote Despite Lupus after being diagnosed with the disease at age 26 and learned to make lifestyle adjustments that improved her energy and outlook on living life with lupus. She will lead a discussion at Reston Community Center to help people affected by lupus identify successful coping mechanisms and live well, despite lupus.
