This 2-hour workshop will walk you through the design-thinking process and give you a chance to dive in with your own challenge:
I. Introduction to design thinking & presenter
What is the design-thinking process, who is the presenter and how did she get so obsessed with design-thinking her life?
II. Get hands-on with design-thinking in one hour!
Be prepared to bring your own life or work challenge--make sure it's one that you really care about!
* Start with empathy
* Define the real issue/opportunity
* Make lots of ideas
* Build prototypes
* Test with your partner

About Yi Zhang
Yi is passionate about facilitating learning experiences that cultivate creative changemakers. Through her work as the Program Director for VIA’s social innovation exchange programs at Stanford, she has seen the potential for design-thinking to spark creative and effective solutions for social issues as well as personal challenges. In addition to design-thinking obsessively to make her own life more inspired and impactful, she has been working with instructors at the Stanford d.school, the Extreme by Design film project, New Sector Alliance, as well as universities in Asia to share the potential for human-centered design through workshops here and abroad.
