Soaring skyscrapers, bold bridges, and captivating cars; these are just a few things the word “design” brings to mind. But what about the design of everyday things like teapots, potato peelers, and garden tools? This is the realm of industrial design (ID), and from the time you wake up to the time you fall asleep (and while you’re unconscious too!) design is helping us do the things we take for granted. So get all sparkly with your designed personal hygiene tools, put on your designed clothes, and take your preferred mode of designed transportation over to Design Night where you’ll celebrate the everyday with:
