Description
If websites are the cornerstone of a business' marketing efforts, why do so many of them fall short? In this workshop on internet marketing, we will focus on what it takes to make a website really work for your business.
We will explore dozens of websites from the inside out, delving into the inner workings of a successful interactive experience. We will talk about domain names, WordPress, do-it-yourself websites, mobile websites, usability research, design, color and typography, and how to create meaningful content with text and pictures. We'll analyze what it takes to convert site visitors into leads and ultimately into loyal customers.
Topics covered in this workshop will include:
- What research tells us about visitor behavior
- What makes content compelling
- Options for how to build (or rebuild) your business' website
- Creating blogs
- Tailoring websites to work on everything from large screens to smartphones
