Our friends at Waste Farmers are the hosts for this crop mob that will include some terrific learning activities – we’ll be building raised beds that will grow numerous veggie and composting crops, and we’ll also be using Sepp Holzer’s hugelkultur technique to create the beginnings of a perennial food forest. Exciting stuff!
These agricultural 'platforms' will serve as experimental stations from which to launch a multi-faceted, local food production system. As such, volunteers who participate in this crop mob are encouraged to make plans to come back and visit the site as the season progresses to observe the outcomes and then to celebrate the harvest!
What we've got here is: some serious educational potential – don’t miss it!
Event begins at 8 AM April 6, at Waste Farmers, located on the grounds of Timberline Gardens nursery at 11700 W 58th Ave, Arvada, CO 80002.
When & Where
Denver Crop Mob
We help Denver urban farmers connect with willing workers for a “barn-raising” style work day, usually to get something big accomplished. But sometimes to just pull weeds.
