This Bachata Dance workshop is for All levels of dancers, from beginners to instructors. This workshop aims to give students a solid foundation in how bachata is danced in the Dominican Republic and also explores many advanced topics, including lead/follow, footwork, musicality, history, culture and more. All of this is vital whether you are a beginner or are already instructing bachata. We will focus on roots and authenticity but also encourge student to develop and nurture their own personal style. There are many ways to dance bachata and this course will help you on your way to expressing yourself through bachata. Included is a multimedia presentation that covers Bachata dance styles in the Dominican Republic and around the world along with music history. Another goal of this workshop is to continue building the Bachata community in Colorado.
Adam has researched bachata extensively in the DR for many years and has taught and presented around the country at events such as The LA Salsa Festival, The Albq Latin Dance Fest, The Dallas, DC, LA, San Fran, San Diego and Reno Bachata Fests, and many more.
