The Georgia Tech chapter of Delta Upsilon Fraternity is hosting former Atlanta Mayor, Civil Rights Legend and former United States representative to the United Nations Ambassador Andrew Young, and his Godson Kabir Sehgal.

They will be discussing their co-authored book "Walk in My Shoes: Conversations Between a Civil Rights Legend and his Godson on the Journey Ahead." Our audience will be an active crowd of students and professionals who will have a chance to ask questions and discuss significant civil rights issues and life challenges to be used to inspire and motivate us to be mentors for our own young generation. Topics such as Mentorship, the Civil Rights Movement, Atlanta's rapid development and anything else you would like to discuss with our esteemed guests will be entertained.

Delta Upsilon Fraternity

Founded in 1834, Delta Upsilon is the only greek organization that was founded on the principles of Non Secrecy and Non Hazing. Unlike most fraternities, we believe we don't have to hide behind secret meetings and secret rituals; all our meetings and rituals are open for anyone to come and observe. Our chapter, founded in 1957, prides itself on our commitment to uphold these values.

Our brothers believe that hazing divides a fraternity rather than fostering brotherhood therefore internationally Delta Upsilon was founded on the principle of non hazing.

At Georgia Tech we pride ourselves on being a diverse fraternity open to men of all backgrounds and walks of life; we refuse to look for people to fit some generic mold, rather we challenge men to improve themselves through service, learning and brotherhood.

Our brothers enjoy hanging out with one another, whether it is a formal on a riverboat in Nashville, TN, a ski trip in Snowshoe, WV or just simply watching a movie in someone's room. Our fall Foam Party is the social event of the semester. We know how to have fun.

Our brotherhood also places high value on academic success. We reward brothers that excel academically at our semester scholarship dinner. We routinely have study sessions at the house and rest assured older brothers would be more than happy to tutor you in a subject that you are struggling in.

If these principles sound like something you would like to find out more about, stop by our house at the corner of 5th St and Techwood and we will show you what we are all about.

As Charles Evans Hughes said, "A man has to live with himself, and he should see to it that he always has good company" at the Georgia Tech Chapter of Delta Upsilon you will always find yourself surrounded by gentlemen who strive to better themselves everyday.

Delta Upsilon, an international men's fraternity founded in 1834, is committed to Building Better Men through our four founding principles, friendship, character, culture, & justice, that challenge our brothers to expect nothing less then excellence from themselves and others.

There are no secrets with Delta Upsilon. No secret rituals. No secret oaths. No hazing. We are proud of what DU stands for and proud to be the world's only international fraternity committed to sharing our oaths, ideals, symbols, and rituals openly.
