Master Sushi Chef Series

DELICA Executive Sushi Chef MIKIKO ANDO leads students through a series of fun and exciting lessons designed for food-lovers and sushi enthusiasts in our beautiful Ferry Building location on the bay. All classes are hands-on so students can thoroughly understand the techniques being taught. Invaluable tips for home-cooking and entertaining are provided so students can impress family and friends. 

Executive Sushi Chef MIKIKO ANDO is an accomplished and innovated sushi master who loves to create and inspire. Her passion lies in creating dishes from the heart, and helping budding chefs discover their passion.

 
COURSES
 
SUSHI 101: MAKI SUSHI
During this hands-on, interactive class you will learn essential sushi rolling techniques. Executive Chef Mikiko Ando will teach students how to prepare handrolls, temarizushi, and other specialized sushi styles in a fun, relaxed setting. Class fee includes all ingredients and supplies.
LEVEL: BEGINNER. All levels welcome.
 
SUSHI 102: NIGIRI SUSHI
The second lesson in our Sushi series, this class builds upon skills learned in our 101 class, focusing on nigiri sushi. Students will learn to shape rice and understand the proper texture needed for nigiri sushi. Executive Chef Mikiko Ando leads this hands-on, interactive class in a fun and relaxed setting. Class fee includes all materials and supplies.
LEVEL: ADVANCED-BEGINNER. All levels welcome.
 
SUSHI 103: SASHIMI KNIFE SKILLS
The third lesson in our Sushi-Making Series, this class is a culmination of our 101 and 102 classes. Executive Sushi Chef Mikiko Ando teaches students essential knife techniques, including how to cut large fish for sashimi. Class fee includes all materials and supplies.
LEVEL: ADVANCED. ONLY OPEN TO STUDENTS WHO HAVE TAKEN SUSHI 101 AND 102, OR HAVE BEEN GRANTED SPECIAL PERMISSION.
