Deer Processing Made Simple

The Center for Rural Culture and Nadolski’s Butcher Shop are pleased to announce that they will be hosting an educational class on maximizing the amount of meat you get from your hunt.

The workshop will demonstrate how to effectively and safely process  a deer in order to obtain the most meat possible. The Class will emphasize techniques that result in the maximum number of steaks and roast obtainable from the carcass.  Additionally, participants will also learn how to safely handle and package their meat.

The “Deer Processing Made Simple" workshop will be offered only once this season and will be limited to 12 participants.  The class will be held on Wednesday, November 14th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.    This informative workshop will be held at Nadolski’s Butcher Shop located in the Goochland Courthouse at 2913 River Road West.  The cost is $30.  All processed meat will be donated to the local Goochland Food Pantry.
