We're back in San Francisco this month, hosted by the Global Fund for Women in SF's financial district. The goal of this (free) meetup group is to discuss nonprofit communications and outreach challenges, and brainstorm solutions. Join us this month for a discussion of branding, brand refreshes, and totally fresh brands.
(Loose) Meetup Schedule:
- 5:30 pm - 5:45 pm: Networking and informal conversation
- 5:45 pm - 5:50 pm: Meetup groundrules
- 5:50pm - 6:10pm 10-Minute Case Studies
Elysha Rom-Povolo, a Senior Account Executive at Fenton, will talk about a recently completed project to brand Coaching Corps, a program that recruits and trains college students to serve as coaches for low-income kids. The branding process was part of laying the foundation for the group to scale up to the national level at colleges across the US. Elysha will speak to the process of developing the brand including conducting audience research, managing staff and board feedback and working with design partners. She'll highlight where the process went well and where it went not so well.
Zoe Blumenfeld, from the Global Fund for Women, will discuss an "in-progress" case study of their brand refresh process. The staff has done a preliminary workshop with their consultants, and Zoe's case study will be the basis for a discussion on process, goals and branding best practices.
- 6:10 - 7:15 pm Discussion of branding and brand refresh documents. If needed, this discussion will be moderated by a volunteer moderator.
- 7:15 - 7:30 pm Planning for the next meeting and topic discussion
