Decatur Confident City Cycling Class: Saturday Oct 27th
Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM (EDT)
Georgia Interfaith Power and Light, the Atlanta Regional Comission, the Clean Air Campaign,, and the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition are happy to host a Confident City Cycling Class.
This is a fun compact yet comprehensive class that covers everything you need to know to learn to “drive” you bike safely and confidently around Decatur and metro Atlanta.
This class is for you!
Whether you are new to urban cycling and want to gain confidence riding in the street, a trail rider who would like to bike around the neighborhood with your kids, a bike commuter looking for trips on crash avoidance, or a bike enthusiast interested in leading your own rides, you’ll be surprised by what you learn.
Covered in the class are bike handling skill drills and an instructor-led ride with feedback to reinforce what you learned in class.
Expect to learn something new, have your good habits reinforced, those pesky habits disappear, and emerge a safer, more confident cyclist from every angle.
Please bring your bike (make sure it is well functioning).
